The world’s first dual-head personal UV printer hits £2.7 million on Kickstarter

Longer Tech has launched an unprecedented crowdfunding success with the debut of the ePrint: The World’s 1st Dual-head Personal UV Printer on Kickstarter.

The campaign has not only surpassed its modest £37,801 funding goal but has utterly obliterated it, accumulating an astronomical £2,766,927 in pledges from thousands of backers and cementing its status as one of the year’s most significant technology launches.

The overwhelming response highlights a massive market demand for professional-grade, yet accessible, desktop fabrication technology. Longer, a company built on a decade of R&D and four previous successful crowdfunding campaigns, has delivered a true breakthrough in the UV printing space.

The core innovation is the ePrint’s dual-printhead system, which operates alongside 12 independent ink channels, enabling unparalleled efficiency and flexibility. For high-volume flat printing, this dual-head configuration slashes production time by 50–70%, effectively doubling output speed compared to single-head models. When the task involves 3D-textured printing, the system utilizes six white channels simultaneously, theoretically stacking ink six times faster—a monumental leap for rapid prototyping and production.

ePrint fundamentally changes the possibilities of desktop printing by moving beyond flat surfaces. It allows users to achieve stunning embossing heights up to 60mm, making formerly difficult projects like professional braille signage, relief sculptures, and tactile branding instantly accessible. Furthermore, the 10mm high-gap printing technology ensures precise, stable ink ejection and flawless prints on highly challenging materials, including rough stone, wrinkled leather, and 3D-embossed wood, all while maintaining a professional 1440 DPI resolution.

In a move that drastically improves operational costs and creative freedom, ePrint features an open system. It holds twelve 200ml cartridges (or six in the SE model) and is fully compatible with third-party inks, including food-safe options for printing on plates and packaging. This flexibility allows users to maximise profit margins and experiment across nearly any material, from glass bottles and metal tumblers to wooden boards.

Longer is also revolutionising the printing workflow by integrating eight proprietary AI tools directly into the ePrint software. These features allow users to instantly generate complex professional patterns and preview results digitally, slashing customer response times from days to mere minutes. Positioned as a versatile business tool, the company notes that ePrint represents “One investment, Four revenue streams,” making it an indispensable asset for startups, e-commerce ventures, DIY creators, and artists.

Founded in 2016 by Dr. Lao and Dr. He, Longer’s mission has always been to push the boundaries of desktop manufacturing, a legacy bolstered by the acquisition of British 3D printing pioneer RepRapPro. With over 50 global patents, the ePrint is the culmination of years of innovation and rigorous testing. With limited-time rewards, including free shipping for US and EU backers, the ePrint campaign is not just a product launch—it’s the opening chapter in a new era of personalised, high-capability UV printing.
