The laser engraving community is abuzz with excitement as Sculpfun, a brand known for its accessible and high-quality machines, has put its newA9 ultra up on presale at around £1500, with shipping expected from 22nd September. This upcoming engraver promises to be one of the best they have made, integrating innovative dual-field lens technology that could redefine the boundaries of what is possible for both hobbyists and professionals.

Laser engraving enthusiasts and professionals alike can now get their hands on the Sculpful A9 Ultra, a powerful new dual-laser machine that is now available for pre-sale at around £1,500. Shipping is expected to commence on or around September 22.

The Sculpful A9 Ultra boasts a powerful combination of a 20W fiber laser and a 40W diode laser, offering an unparalleled level of versatility for working with over 350 different materials. This dual-laser system allows for seamless switching between the two modes, providing optimal power for either cutting or engraving.

20W Fiber Laser: Precision for Metal

The 20W fiber laser is specifically designed for high-precision metal engraving. It can effortlessly mark a wide range of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, creating clear, deep, and three-dimensional patterns. It is also capable of cutting thin metal sheets up to 0.5mm, and even has a rust removal function to restore metal surfaces. The A9 Ultra’s fiber laser offers a superior power output compared to conventional 2W lasers, resulting in deeper, darker, and more impactful engravings.

40W Diode Laser: Power for Cutting and Engraving

The 40W diode laser provides exceptional cutting power, with the ability to cut through 30mm of wood or 30mm of black acrylic in a single pass. The A9 Ultra also features a switchable 20W mode for the diode laser, allowing for photo-level fine engraving and improved spot accuracy.

The A9 Ultra also stands out with its large 400x400mm working area, a significant increase from the 100x100mm workspace common in other vibrating mirror engraving machines. The machine is built for precision and speed, featuring an industrial-grade linear guide rail on the X-axis for smooth, vibration-free high-speed movement.

Safety is a key feature of the A9 Ultra, which includes multiple protection systems such as a tilt sensor, limit switches, and eye protection glasses. The device also comes with an automatic air assist system for cleaner cuts and extended lens life. The Sculpful A9 Ultra is compatible with popular engraving software like LightBurn and LaserGRBL, making it a flexible and user-friendly tool for a wide range of applications, from home crafting to professional projects.
