Meet the world’s first engraver with hands-free, automated loading system

Monport has announced the upcoming launch of its new product, the AutoForge, on Kickstarter. Set to debut on August 19, 2025, the AutoForge is being touted as the world’s first laser engraver with an integrated automatic loading system, promising to stream-line the workflow for creators, small businesses, and manufacturers.
The Automatic Loading System (ALS) is the centerpiece of the new machine, designed to automate the entire engraving process from start to finish. According to Monport, the ALS will load materials, identify them, perform the engraving, and unload them without any user interaction. This hands-free automation is expected to allow users to process multiple jobs with a single click, enabling true batch production and significant efficiency gains. The system can support up to six loading modules, allowing for simultaneous processing of different materials.
A Versatile Engraving Ecosystem
Monport is not releasing just one machine but a complete engraving ecosystem with three distinct high-performance configurations to meet diverse needs:
- 30W Fiber + 20W Diode Dual-Laser Engraver: This model combines two lasers to handle both metals and non-metals, making it a versatile tool for workshops with varied orders.
- 60W MOPA Fiber Laser Engraver: This configuration specialises in high-precision colour marking, capable of producing over 100 vibrant colours on stainless steel.
- 5W UV Laser Engraver: Designed for delicate work, this model excels at subsurface engraving on crystals and glass, perfect for high-end gifts and custom art.
This flexibility is designed to make the AutoForge a compelling all-in-one alternative to standalone fiber laser cutters and diode engravers.
Performance Built for Professionals
The AutoForge is engineered for high-throughput environments, boasting engraving speeds up to 10,000 mm/s. It can handle a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, wood, acrylic, leather, and glass, and is even capable of deep-relief engraving—up to 10 mm on stone and 5 mm on copper.
Ease of use is another key feature, with the machine offering smart controls like offline engraving via USB, a 4.3-inch touchscreen for easy adjustments, and an autofocus function for consistent precision. A safety glide door with instant detection adds a critical layer of protection.
“Our vision with AutoForge is simple,” said Monport CEO. “We wanted to take the power and precision of a professional fiber laser engraver and make it smarter—truly hands-free. By integrating an automatic loading system, we’re not just giving people a tool; we’re giving them time back.”
Kickstarter Launch and Early Bird Offers
The AutoForge will launch on Kickstarter with an exclusive Early Bird discount. Supporters can make a £7.50 deposit to secure a unit and save up to £1,500 off the retail price. Super Early Bird backers can get the AutoForge XPro for as low as £1,650—a 33% discount. The MOPA and UV models will also be available at significant discounts for early supporters.
